Our two little Pugs love their N-bones. Most every evening after their 3rd portioned meal for the day, they pick one up and find a spot to enjoy it. Normally on one of our laps. Seems like their cigar after a fine meal. So you do what keeps them happy. Of course sometimes they spend 30 to 60 minutes in the bed at night grinding away on them if they forgot to have it in the evening.
