As I said in my review of Robbie Dawg's "Turkey Sausage and Romano Cheese" biscuits, the down-side to these treats is their cost: 5 bucks, plus shipping and handling for a 3 ounce can. But, the up-side is that your dog will love 'em and there's nothing in 'em that you wouldn't eat yourself.
The "Peanut Butter & Carrot" treats are 100% organic: Unsalted peanut butter, carrots, rolled oats and brown rice flour. That's it! No wheat, no corn, no nuthin' else.... And, according to my lovely wife, who has a "thing" about this sort'a thing - they actually taste like peanut butter and carrots, (frankly, that doesn't sound very appetizing to me, but our terriers clearly think otherwise).
The treats are small, kibble-sized "cookies." They come in a reusable tin can that looks more or less like an old fashioned tobacco tin. It's just the right size to slip into a pocket or purse - handy for that early morning walk. The cookies are also "scored" so they can be easily broken into four, very small pieces - great when you want to reward good performance in training, but don't want to load your furry buddy up with a lot of extra calories.
As with the Robbie Dawg "Turkey..." treats, the relative high cost of the "Peanut..." makes me a little reluctant to give them a five-star rating - but I think that their quality is so high, and my terriers eat them with such obvious pleasure - that I can't give 'em anything less.
